Last week, we were honoured to receive one of 98 awards from over 40 countries recognising innovative practices and policies in inclusive education and ICT at the 2016 Zero Project Conference at the UN Office in Vienna, Austria. Elena Jenkin accepted the award on behalf of Deakin University from Martin Essl, founder of the Essl Foundation and Jakob Von Uexkull, founder of the World Future Council.

We are so pleased to have our project included among such inspiring company and to share it with an international audience. More information about our presentation at the Zero Project Conference 2016 can be found here.

The voices of children with disabilities are largely missing in the development agenda, which means that their needs and priorities are not adequately addressed in service delivery and policy design.
